What we help with
2/3e (Twice & Thrice Exceptional).
High cognitive ability alongside neurodivergence — a combination that often goes unrecognised, leaving people feeling like they are “too much” and “not enough” at the same time.
Common signs
How it can show up.
- Exceptional ability in some areas while other things that seem “basic” to others stay hard.
- Being told for a lifetime that you are not living up to your potential.
- High ability masking neurodivergence, or neurodivergence obscuring ability, so assessments miss the whole picture.
- Perfectionism, asynchronous development, and burnout from compensating in areas that should have been easier.
- Never quite finding a box that fits.
Our approach
How we can help.
Traditional approaches often miss twice- and thrice-exceptional (2/3e) people entirely, because high cognitive ability can mask neurodivergence, and neurodivergence can obscure that ability. We understand this complexity, and assess and work with the whole picture rather than one label at a time.
We work with the intensity, the asynchronous development, the perfectionism, the burnout, and the unique challenge of being 2/3e in a world that does not quite have a box for you. Comprehensive neuropsychological assessment is available where it would help, alongside ongoing therapy that works with your brain rather than against it.
